Your family workspace

Embertree organises your family into a private workspace. The person who creates a workspace is its Owner. Owners can invite Editors (who can add and edit content) and Viewers (who can read it).

You are responsible for the people you invite and for the content you add. Only add information about living people with their awareness, and about children with a parent or guardian's consent.

Private by default

Workspaces are private. There is no public mode, no global tree, and no search index across families. Your family's data is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to train third-party AI models.

Acceptable use

Don't use Embertree to harass others, to store content you have no right to share, or to break the law. We may suspend a workspace that does.

Plans and billing

The free tier is permanent and genuinely useful. Paid tiers add seats, storage, and premium features; they never unlock the core experience. A workspace's subscription is paid by its Owner. Cancellation is one click through the Stripe Customer Portal, with no cancellation fees.

If your plan lapses or you downgrade, you never lose data — only feature access changes. Your content stays readable and exportable.

Ending your use

You can delete your account or, as an Owner, your whole workspace at any time from settings. Deletion is permanent.

Liability

Embertree is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep your memories safe, but to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights you can't waive under your local law.
